We've always been passionate about the outdoors and exploring the world through hiking in the most incredible national parks. Our journey to use less single-use plastic began when the pandemic hit. We were shocked to learn that the U.S. had been shipping most of its plastic waste to Asia but now countries like Malaysia, China and Cambodia were no longer going to accept U.S. plastic waste - forcing the U.S. to figure out how to manage its own waste problem. We dug deeper and learned that less than 6% of plastic in the U.S. is actually being recycled and the remainder is entering landfills and polluting our oceans.
We realized that the only way to untrash our planet and build a better future for our kids and future generations would be through reusing and refilling. We tried some reusable household products, but we couldn’t find anything that had planet-friendly ingredients, no artificial fragrances and was zero plastic waste. From there, Greatfill was born.
Our mission is to eliminate single-use plastic by making refilling convenient, affordable and fun.
